WARILLA BEACH
Osborne Parade, Warilla
Warilla Beach is very popular with locals and is patrolled during summer months. Windang Island creates some unique scenery and conditions on this beach.
Surfing Best Conditions: Any swell with NW - SW winds particularly N, NE, E, S, SE, SW. Type of Break: Choppy water with waves and strong current. Flat water at northern end of beach in N, NE wind. Suitable for beginners to experts (depending on conditions).

SHELLHARBOUR BEACH
Junction Road, Barrack Point
Shellharbour Beach was named Illawarra's cleanest beach in 2004 and 2005 in the Regions' Clean Beach Challenge - an initiative of Keep Australia Beautiful.
Surfing Best Conditions: Offshore winds NW/SW. Type of Break: Beach break with anything much over 4-5ft closing out. Choppy water with waves. Suitable for beginner to expert surfers(depending on conditions).

SHELLHARBOUR SOUTH BEACH
Boollwarroo Parade, Shellharbour
Shellharbour South Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach. A location great for sunbathing or taking the family for a swim. Holiday makers staying at Shellharbour Beachside Tourist Park are only seconds from this beach.
Surfing Best Conditions: E, NE, N, NW winds. Type of Break: Choppy water with waves and strong current. A marina is proposed for the north end of this beach which may have a good result for wave refraction. Suitable for beginners.

KILLALEA BEACH & MINNAMURRA BEACH
Killalea State Park
Killalea Drive, Shell Cove
A very popular surfing beach known by the locals as "The Farm" this beach is located within Killalea State Park. Killalea was officially declared as a National Surfing Reserve on 6 June 2009. Meaning that "The Farm" and "Mystics" will be protected surfing areas.

Surfing Best Conditions: Offshore winds blow from the west-northwest with some shelter here from northeast winds. Best Swell is SE. Type of Break: ‘The Farm’ is an exposed beach and point break that has fairly consistent surf, although summer tends to be mostly flat. The beach breaks offer lefts and rights. It very rarely gets crowded. A warning, sharks have been reported here.
Minnamurra Beach "Mystics"
Surfing Best Conditions: South swells most beneficial. Type of Break: Great beachies here, and good Left breaking off the point over shallow sand and rock bottom. Holds plenty of swell. Suitable for Intermediate Surfers.

Beach patrols operate from September school holidays throughout Summer until Anzac Day 25 April. The following beaches are provided with patrols:
