Australia's greatest magician, James Galea performs a slick mix of magic and theatre. Charting Sydney's underbelly of gangsters and gambling, Lying Cheating Bastard combines close up projections of astonishing card tricks with an edge-of-your-seat tale of high rollers, high living and high stakes.

Formerly the Wollongong Home Show, this show is the largest Home and Leisure Show in the Illawarra and is now in its second year.
The event covers over 1000 sqm of exhibition space and attracts thousands of home and leisure orientated people living in the Illawarra and South Coast areas.

The Song Company presents this Italian masterpiece of musical comedy in Wollongong. Hear the Song Company’s vocalists as they create the voices of familiar Commedia dell-arte characters in a storyline that is a rollercoaster of love triangles, trickery and treachery. Watch how Sydney Wharf Review’s much loved actor Drew Forsythe’s gift for mimicry and mime is put to the test as he assumes the roles of a mean-hearted old man, a verbose doctor, an over-amorous Spanish captain, a pair of young lovers and an assortment of scheming servants. All delivered with the backing of period instruments played by Tommie Andersson and Laura Vaughan.

The Song Company is a not-for-profit company with a core of 7 full time artists and a small administration.  With Key Organisation support of The Australia Council and Arts NSW, the company operates full-time.  Through a longstanding commitment to education, an annual concert series, as well as many recordings and broadcasts, the Song Company has built up an impressive following around Australia, and increasingly so, around the world.

Oak Flats Bowling & Recreation Club will be hosting the N.S.W prestigious Champion of Champions for the fifth year in succession. 76 top players will compete against one another to play for $1200 first prize and $800 runner up. Full Bistro is available, plus a coffee shop including pizza, sandwiches, hot pies, sausage rolls etc. All spectators are welcome with no admission fee.

To mark the opening of the new Shellharbour Surf Club, a 15km social paddle is planned from the Kiama Harbour to the Shellharbour Surf Club. The paddle is open to all forms of craft including Surf Skis, Kayaks, Ocean Racers and Boat Crews. Water safety will be provided.
Those interested can meet at the Shellharbour Surf club at 8am for a coordinated move to Kiama. Alternatively you can make your own way to Kiama for a 9am Start.

The walk commencing at 6am will be a semi guided walk with staff on the walk to highlight some of the key features of the forest, surrounds and construction of the Treetop Walk.
Following the walk join us in Café 106 for a hearty buffet breakfast.

The Australian Sports Commission is holding a family sports expo to introduce children and their parents to the wide range of club sports and physical activities available in Shellharbour. A large variety of local sporting clubs will be in attendance and provide information to children and families about becoming involved in their club and be taking expressions of interest and registrations. On the day there will be exciting active demonstrations that appeal to the whole family and fun activities for children to participate in. At the conclusion of the Expo, Wollongong ahm Hawks players will be signing autographs and at 5pm there will be a National Wheelchair Basketball League game with local team the Roller Hawks playing reigning premiers, the Perth Wheelcats.

Southern Stars is the Illawarra and South East Region’s biggest and most dynamic musical spectacular showcasing the incredible talent of the region’s public school students and teachers.
The 2010 Southern Stars annual spectacular this year celebrates ten years of providing audiences with an amazing experience of music, dance, colour and magic with the performance “10 in twenty ten”.

The Market Day, which is held every 4th Friday of the month, boasts numerous stalls including: local honey, macadamia nut products, plants and herbs, cards and gifts, handmade jewellery, local embroidery and baby wear, funky giftware, ladies clothes, shoes and handbags.  The Shellharbour Hospital auxiliary are also part of the event and hold a stall selling a variety of great gift bargains. All are welcome to come along and enjoy a morning of good food, bargains and a bit of entertainment while supporting your local hospital.
All monies raised will go towards much needed Shellharbour Hospital Equipment.

On the last Sunday of every month. Flights start at $65.00 per person for 10 minutes and bookings are not required.
